  25. warranty you might still have and voids the FCC approval.

  33. Yes, USR has been known to screw up from time to time. I am sure we have 
  34. all heard the horror stories. On the other hand, the only time I ever had 
  35. to wait on a modem was one I purchased under the sysop deal back in 1991. 
  36. Every other time was well within the promised limits. I returned one that 
  37. went belly up the day after it arrived, that came back within 10 days. I 
  38. returned one for repair after a lightning hit, that came back within 15 
  39. days. Maybe I've just been lucky.

  44. I always keep a spare modem around for such times as I might have to ship 
  45. one off for repair. It's good policy if you run a BBS. If you run an 
  46. pay online service, such as an ISP, it ought to be considered mandatory.
