- warranty you might still have and voids the FCC approval.

- Yes, USR has been known to screw up from time to time. I am sure we have
- all heard the horror stories. On the other hand, the only time I ever had
- to wait on a modem was one I purchased under the sysop deal back in 1991.
- Every other time was well within the promised limits. I returned one that
- went belly up the day after it arrived, that came back within 10 days. I
- returned one for repair after a lightning hit, that came back within 15
- days. Maybe I've just been lucky.

- one off for repair. It's good policy if you run a BBS. If you run an
- pay online service, such as an ISP, it ought to be considered mandatory.
